Hawaii was the 50th state to join the USA in the 1950's. It consists of a long chain of islands in the Pacific Ocean. It is one of the smallest states in land mass as well as the population but has a large volume of tourists visiting each year. The state's capitol is located on the island of Oahu; one of eight main islands in the chain.
